Storm Fury in Delhi: BJP's Sachdeva Applauds Swift Government Response

As Delhi battled one of its most intense storms in recent years on May 24, 2025, the city witnessed not just chaos — but also commendable crisis management. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva publicly praised the administration’s rapid response, hailing it as a “model of timely and coordinated governance.”

🕘 Early Morning Action: Crisis Response in Motion

By the break of dawn on Sunday, BJP leaders, municipal councillors, and officials from the Delhi Jal Board and Public Works Department (PWD) were already on the streets. According to Sachdeva:

“Our teams began work by 6 a.m. and by 9 a.m., waterlogged areas were cleared, fallen trees removed, and traffic flow was normalized in most zones.”

This prompt response, he emphasized, helped restore normalcy by noon in several of the worst-affected localities.

⚙️ Leadership Under Fire — But Rising

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also received praise from Sachdeva for personally overseeing coordination efforts. He underlined how proactive leadership made a difference:

“This wasn’t a passive review from air-conditioned rooms — BJP leaders and workers were on the ground, working shoulder to shoulder with civic staff.”

⚖️ Governance in Contrast: A Jibe at the Past

In a pointed remark directed at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sachdeva recalled how previous years saw similar storms lead to long-lasting disruptions:

“This isn’t the first monsoon Delhi has faced. But unlike earlier administrations, we didn’t blame the rain — we acted.”

He accused the former government of “repeatedly failing to address chronic issues like waterlogging and drainage,” claiming that under BJP's watch, the city was now better prepared and more responsive.

🔄 Looking Ahead: A Pledge for Preparedness

Sachdeva assured citizens that the current government remains committed to quick disaster response and resilient infrastructure planning. The goal, he said, is not just recovery — but prevention and preparedness for the upcoming monsoon season.
