Luxury real estate agent Sara Burack, featured on Netflix’s Million Dollar Beach House, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident in Hampton Bays, authorities reported. The incident occurred early Thursday around 2:45 a.m. on Montauk Highway near Villa Paul Restaurant, where Southampton Town Police and New York State Police found the 40-year-old unconscious with severe head injuries and multiple fractures. Despite being transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, Burack passed away later that day.

On Friday, Southampton police arrested Amanda Kempton, a 32-year-old Virginia woman, charging her with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, a felony carrying up to four years in prison, according to the New York Post. Police have not yet responded to inquiries from The Independent.

Burack, who began her career at Nest Seekers International in 2012, had recently left the firm but remained closely connected, said Geoff Gifkins, the agency’s Hamptons regional manager, in a statement to Newsday. He expressed condolences, urging respect for Burack’s grieving family and friends.

Known for her role on Million Dollar Beach House in 2020, Burack showcased the competitive world of Hamptons luxury real estate. In a 2020 Hamptons.com interview, she shared her transition from her family’s construction material business to real estate, driven by her passion for property management and her 11-year connection to the Hamptons.

Burack was also an active volunteer with organizations like the ASPCA, Southampton Animal Shelter, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and supported various New York City charities, per her LinkedIn profile. Her death marks a significant loss to her community and loved ones.
